Collection Counters are accountable to the Parish Priest. The purpose of the ministry is to count money from Mass collections. Two or more individuals are assigned to a team. They count money from weekly collections, record envelope contributions on appropriate ledgers and make up deposit slips and prepare cash deposits.
The qualities required to participate in this Ministry are accounting skills, the ability to work as part of a team, honesty and confidentiality.
The time commitment is generally 2 hours per week, as per the schedule.

We are still in need of Collection Counters. We currently have 3 counters and optimally need 6. This is a volunteer position that requires 2 hours of your time each week. With one or two other counters, you will count and record the offertory collections from the previous weekend, make up deposit slips and prepare deposits.
